BASE CAMP

Kanchenjunga is the richest area of the Nepal Himalayas for ecological diversity. The steep, heavily-wooded valley offers an ideal habitat for a wide variety of plant life, wild animals, and birds. Excellent views of Everest, Makalu and, of course, Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world. The area offers more true wilderness because of its rugged terrain that limits human dwelling.
