GOSAINKUNDA LAKE

This place not far away from Kathmandu has the hidden beauty of the Himalayas and the rich culture of the valley inhabited by the Sherpas. The Gosainkunda Lake is one of the most popular pilgrim centers of the Lantang country. Pilgrims from all over the country come there for the big festival in August during the full moon. Taking dips in the lake is considered to be auspicious and helps wash away the sins.
