ANCIENT SHANGRI LA
Tibet, the land on the roof of the world flanked by mountains
on the three sides, the Himalayas to the south, the Karakoram
to the west and the Kulung and the Tangla in the north. With
the visitors allowed to the country until recently, Tibet has
been a land of mystery and has been the attraction of visitors
around the world. Tibet has a unique history and civilization
of itself until China took over Lhasa in 1959. Tibetans consider
their land a place of living God, the place where many great
saints and scholars has lived. Where people believe in tantras
and mantras of great lamas, gods and demons and lot of magical
events that has happened, together it is considered a land of
mysteries. This is for you to witness even though there is drastic
changes after the Chinese rule but remains of the age old civilization
is still being carried on by the Tibetans.
